If you are suffering from a sports injury that won’t heal quickly or an injury from an accident and you can’t afford to be laid up – help is at hand

“Probably the best place in Chicago for acupuncture and physical therapy. I was in a car accident a few years ago and needed physical therapy for a back injury. Dr. Chung and her staff got me back on my feet again, and seriously helped to reduce pain”   – Frank M.

“Balancing Point is the best physical rehabilitation clinic in Chicago. Their knowledgable team of physical therapist, chiropractors, acupuncturists, and massage therapist helped me when I tore my ACL and medial meniscus while skiing. I didn’t have insurance but they were able to work with me and get me strong enough to avoid surgery all together. Dr. Chung’s technique was nothing like what I had learned at other clinics. She used a therapy called TMR. Without their help, I don’t think I could have healed so well and been able to return to the slopes …carefully.”  – Alberto B.

Physical Rehabilitation is a hands-on treatment that helps recovery in patients who are suffering from injuries to joint and limb or back and neck trauma caused by accidents or sport injuries.

Research shows that individuals who receive active rehabilitation exercises experience greater movement in function and greater decrease in pain than those who did not. Because our doctors and staff are experts in knowing how the body works, they are able to design personalized treatment plans for each patient and their injury. No matter what part of your body hurts, our doctors and therapists can help alleviate or manage the pain without costly pharmaceuticals or more invasive methods.

Our personalized treatment and exercises protocols are designed in the 3200 s.f. facility with state of the art exercise equipment. Combined with acupuncture therapy and chiropractic massage Balancing Point offers a comprehensive solution to your pain problem.

We also offer state-of-the-art revolutionary techniques such as Total Motion Release(TMR) and Primal Reflex Release Technique(PRRT).  Dr Kristina Chung is certified in both of these treatments.

What is Primal Reflex Release Technique (PRRT)?

When an injury occurs, the muscles “splint” to protect the area. The “splinting” often remains long after the injury is apparently healed. Quick movements may be difficult or impossible as the patient is “guarded” in efforts to use the injured region. PRRT is designed to down-regulate or normalize the pain the reflex is causing in guarding the muscular system. The normalization of protective reflexes can and does make the difference between full and partial recovery. A trained PRRT practitioner can locate and regulate these reflexes decreasing or eliminating a patient’s pain in a short period of time.

What is Total Motion Release (TMR)?

TMR is an approach to therapy using a series of exercises to balance strength and range of motion for the injured side by concentrating treatment on the strong side. The philosophy is that treating the strong side will help the weaker side recover.
